NEW CAR...Subaru WRX Hatch...Some pluses and minuses...

Picked up a MY2000 Subaru WRX Hatch in August, immaculate, low km's, in subaru rally blue, one careful owner....took me a while to get used to a manual again though...SGIO Insurance wanted $1500 a year, went with RAC for half that....

Premium fuel is recommended, but mechanical mates say regular unleaded is OK and it doesn't seem to make a big difference except in the wallet... Performance is excellent, but can get you in big trouble,not just with the police...need to pick times and places...!!! Braking and handling is great...hard to get back into the commodore afterwards though...leave it for Sandra... Performance suffers a bit when the airconditioning is on...I turn it off just before lights change and on again once underway...
